Product: LL05 LED High Bays and LL16 LED Low Bays

Pureprint, a successful print company based in Crowborough, Sussex approached Lumilow to design the lighting in its newly relocated press hall. The site is their showcase factory so appearance and uniformity was essential.

The building had previously been used for storage, so the new lighting design needed to consider a whole new application. Detail in the printing industry is very important, so elements such as reducing glare, accurate colour rendering and the correct lux levels were a key part of Lumilow’s remit.

Lumilow’s technical team engineered a solution that combined a step-change improvement in the quality of light, with the highest possible levels of energy efficiency.

How we did it

  • High efficiency 110W LED lowbay fittings were specified to provide light over the printing presses. The fittings achieve the excellent light levels and accurate colour rendering required in a press room, where quality and attention to detail is crucial.
  • Lumilow’s 200W LED highbays replaced old 400W metal halide lowbays in areas used for storing pallets of paper. The upgrade has reduced the company’s running cost in this space by around 50%.

The new lighting was installed and commissioned by Lumilow’s partner Pro M&E; with care taken to ensure minimal disruption to business activities.

We say… Studies show that good lighting can increase work performance and productivity; Pureprint is a case in point – staff now have the right light to help them produce the industry leading products that the company prides itself on.
